After all of our excitement we had yesterday morning at the craft fair and watching Maddie swim in the pool we all were exhausted. I don’t think anyone was nearly as tired as Maddie was though!
After we came home from the park we grabbed lunch then made plans to go to the dollar store to wander around. Maddie was so excited that Grandma had given her $3 whole dollars to spend on whatever she wanted! However, after about 5 minutes in the car on the drive there she was OUT!
It’s not that unusual for her to fall asleep in the car, especially after the busy morning she had, but what we didn’t expect was that she was so tired, we couldn’t wake her up. Brandi unbuckled her, she didn’t move, I started poking at her (I enjoy bugging her!), nothing. Hmmm….Brandi & I look at each other like what do we do? Sue suggests we get a cart and she can sleep in it, we quickly veto that idea because 1) she has nothing to lay on and carts aren’t that comfortable and 2) she’d never stay awake.
After a couple minutes we decide to just get the stroller out of the trunk and she could sit in it while she woke up. To bad all we had was an umbrella stroller, so she couldn’t really recline, but that’s okay she was going to wake up anyway when we moved her. Or so we thought….Here is what we ended up with after moving her out of her car seat into the stroller….
Sound asleep. Brandi quickly snapped a photo because we knew at any moment she’d wake up. But she didn’t. We decided it would be mean of us to go to the dollar store while she was sleeping, so we went next door to the craft store to shop. We were there a good hour, and she never moved….
The girl slept, and slept, and slept! She finally woke up and off to the dollar store we went! We bought some fun items that kept us busy the rest of the afternoon….what could those be, I’m stringing you all on again!! Try not to wet yourself with anticipation and make sure you come back tomorrow to find out :)

My little guy was out like that the other day! After birthday fun, he fell asleep mid-hug! So cute!
aw, that is too precious! She looks so peaceful there sleeping...must have been super tired! Can't wait to hear what she bought!
