This was a fantastic party!! It was a lot of work in prepping, but totally worth it in the end!!

Today I’m highlighting the oldest of both sets of “twins”…I put “twins” in quotes, because the boys are legitimate twins, the girls not so much…but they’re only 6 weeks apart in age so most assume they’re twins. So there ya go!

This weekend was the Munro Kids Circus Bash birthday!! Alex, Julia and I worked none stop from Friday evening until the party started at 1pm on Sunday!! It went off perfectly, even if a ton of people showed up that didn’t RSVP, but that’s another story!
The Circus Set-Up
Inside was set-up like a circus tent. We used tulle for the outer part of the tent and then a whole lotta crepe paper for the rest! It took Alex & I about 4 hours to get it all done! A lot of work, but looked awesome!
Julia came up with a way to set-up a game section! Looks pretty good doesn’t it! We had 4 games for the kids to play, they were all a hit!

We cut marshmallows for the popcorn and then sprayed them with spray food coloring to give them a butter look!

Oh, how I love this restaurant! I have celebrated my birthday there just about every year since my first birthday…love it!! For mine and Erin’s joint birthday dinner we chose El Toreadors to eat at and enjoy some fun company with friends!
(mine’s on the 24th and Erin’s is on the 27th)

Funny thing is look my mouth was big even as a baby!! My poor parents claim I never shut it. I spent the first year of my life screaming with colic, and then talked nonstop ever since! I don’t know how they managed to make it to the who I am today….big mouth and all!
My smiles look pretty similar, then and now, except I have a few more teeth today :)

Apparently August 4th is a popular day to have a baby. Friends Cheryl & Courtney have birthdays today, my ASL teacher’s birthday is also today. There is also a handful of famous people who share their day of birth Barack Obama, Cole & Dylan Sprouse, Louis Armstrong and the Queen Mother Elizabeth to name a few. But (sorry) none of those are as important as two people in my family…..

I love my daddy!! His birthday always was important to me, not because I love my daddy and think he’s the bestest (which I do), but it means once his birthday comes its 20 days until mine! (Yep, I’m vain, I love myself, and my birthday!). I assume tonight we’ll have a birthday celebration for him and celebrate his birthday with extended family in the next week? Not 100% sure on that!

On to Annika…..three years ago this little girl was brought into our lives through adoption. Unfortunately, she didn’t stay with us very long. After 2 failed adoption attempts, last October she finally came home at just over 2 years old! So today is our first REAL birthday with Miss Annika Brooke! I wish I could be up celebrating with her, but I can’t! I’ll be up this weekend, and cannot wait to hear all about it!
*Apparently Alec thinks it looks like a purple spiders web, I think it looks more like a purple turtle :)*

Today is Sophia’s 8th birthday, where has the time gone?! I’ve only known her since she was 4 years old, but what an impression she has left on my heart, I love that little girl! (how sweet isn’t that??)
For her birthday she got a couple of Mad-Libs books and we had fun playing with them today. It has been forever since I did one! Forgot how funny they are, especially when you are with a silly 8-year-old!!

This beautiful baby girl was born to my parents on June 22, 1993 @ 1:15pm. That was 17 years ago! The baby of my family is now 17! How in the world is that possible??
Seems like it was just yesterday that she was born! The day she was born Kelly & I spent with the our neighbors the Chambers and were picked up a short time later to go meet our baby sister! I distinctly remember running into the doctor as we entered the hospital and her congratulating us on the new baby! I remember the nurse, Ginny (funny what you remember…and yes, that was how she spelled it!), waiting for us so we could help give Alex her first bath! Ahhh…memories! She’s still pretty cute today, but not quite as cute as the baby pictured above!
Interesting note on the dress she was wearing in the above photo. That dress was warn by all three of us as our blessing dress. We all got blessed in it, and had our pictures taken on the same background at 2 months old! We have all three photos hanging in our home and the dress still hangs in my mom’s closet for the next generation!
All she wanted for her birthday was a tea pot. My mom went crazy and all out for Alex getting her an entire tea set! It was sweet, Alex seemed to be happy, but I’m happy that was her gift and not mine – ha-ha!
My dad made us a scrumptious pasta dish! It was de.li-cious! It was some sort of white sauce with bacon, peas and asparagus. It was heavenly!!
We failed to remember to get her a cake, so she had to live with Schwan's Apple Cinnamon Wantons! Now, now, now, don’t feel that sorry for her, she gets two more parties so I have no doubt she’ll get a cake or two! Oh….and we put birthday candles in the wantons, only to find out the MELT – duh, right! So my dad was quick to come up with just putting matches into them! We sung the fasted rendition of Happy Birthday on record to keep our table from going up in flames!!

Today marked Jaime’s 27th birthday…man that is OLD! Poor lady! Oh well, I guess she has a lot going for her, so life’s not so bad :-) We celebrated this afternoon in the BEAUTIFUL sunshine [insert Hallalujah Choir]. Yes, ladies and gentleman the sun was shining today! Even better, its supposed to be warn (between 67*-80*) for the next week [insert Hallalujah Choir]! Sorry Jaime, I’m getting off topic – and I know this post is an ALL JAIME POST …. so back to the party!
We hung out, outside all afternoon and the girls played with Madeline and Brendan from next door, and the rest of chit-chat and ate! Jaime requested my dad’s famous fajita’s so we enjoyed a delicious dinner!

After presents we did cake. Now, Alex is normally a FANTASTIC baker! People request her cakes, cookies, and other goodies, but for some reason this cake did not turn out. Don’t get me wrong, it tasted fantastic, but it looked awful! It kept falling apart and took three jars of frosting to somewhat hold it together! Poor Alex was mortified, but we ate the cake anyway!
