Buy Me Some Peanuts and Cracker Jacks…..

I don’t care if I ever get back, for it’s root, root, root for the MARINERS!!!!!!

Yep, this weekend I went to the Mariners game!  I was lucky to be given A.M.A.Z.I.N.G tickets from Bruce & Mary who have season tickets!  Jaime, Maddie, Amy & I all went and had an amazing time!!  The weather was beautiful, the game was fun, the food was yummy, oh and did I mention we WON!!!

Mariners - Mad

mariners- great plays

Did I mention….We WON??!!!  Here’s Madison’s victory dance….(Don’t worry, the video is flipped when you watch it, just not in the preview for some odd reason!)

After the game was over kids 14 and under got to go on the field and run the bases!  Madison was so excited to get to do so!!  It was fun to be able to be on the field and run around with her, or should I say try to catch her!!

Thanks again Bruce & Mary for the tickets, if you ever need anyone to take them off your hands again, please let me know!  XOXO!

Mariners Birthday Baseball Game

Tonight marks the end of another birthday of mine.  We went for my annual birthday Mariners game, and am sad to report that the M’s lost miserably to the New York Yankees..booh-hiss!!  Even though we lost, we still had a lot of fun!

Dad, Alex, Zak, Jaime, Brandi, Amy & I all went.  The game was boring because it we were losing, but there’s nothing better then people watching and eating yummy baseball food!  The highlight probably was when a group got escorted out of our section by the Alcohol Enforcement people.  It caused quite  a scene where we were sitting while they were getting to the bottom of whatever was going on!  In the end it looked like a group of people smuggled in Vodka into the Stadium leading to their quick dismissal.  I want to know how they were able to get it in the stadium.  Amy brought snacks for herself and had an ice pack with it and was questioned at the entrance for “why her bag was cold”.  So it amazes me that they were able to get the Vodka in.

Fun game even though we lost!!  Thanks everyone for coming and celebrating my birthday (once again) with me!!

I’m still working on the Miley Cyrus Concert post…it has a lot of pictures that I’m trying to put into a montage so it doesn’t take up so much room on my blog!  So hopefully tomorrow!!

Wow…I like this font a lot :)

Brain Freeze...or Lack of Brain?

Ugh...I had a total brain fart tonight!! I was following Brandi to Monroe tonight and we were talking about going to the Mariners game tomorrow night. She then asked me "you know where the tickets are right". Of course I knew where they were, I'd been looking at them every single time I open my wallet for the past week and a half...happily sitting in their Ticket Master Envelope!! But I figured I should double check, so while driving in the dark and talking to Brandi I reach for my purse in the backseat and start going through my wallet (safe I know!). Which to my shock they weren't there!

I immediately tell Brandi I have to pull over and look for the tickets. So we both pull into a parking lot and start pulling my car apart. We spent a good 15 minutes looking and finally came to the realization they weren't there (that or it was way to dark to tell). I decide to call The Mariners Team Store in Bell Square and hope they are open (it is 9:50pm) to see if they can re-issue my tickets. Thankfully they were open (soooo lucky), and they said they couldn't re-issue the tickets, but I could do it at Safeco Field. So I decided I would just do that if I had too. So we started back towards Monroe.

Driving home I decide to give Jaime a call to make sure I hadn't given her the tickets (I hadn't), so I decided "oh well, we'll just get them tomorrow before the game". We made it to the Condo and Brandi & I once again pull my car apart (this time cleaning it out too...see I had a plan haha) and still no tickets. So as we're walking inside, Brandi tells me "just call your house and double check they aren't there". She had already told me to do it once, but I KNEW they WERE NOT THERE. But I had no other choice, and figured I had nothing to lose (except for her to be right). So I called home.

Alex answered and before I had even spit out my whole "will you see if you can find my Mariners tickets". Alex said, "you mean these tickets sitting right here?". Ugh...I vaguely remember setting them on the desk by the front door. Apparently I decided the tickets were safer inside (why on the desk, to be lost I have no clue) and brought them in. Overall I have NO recollection of doing so, but apparently I did.

I am totally losing it! But on the bright side I have the tickets! It will make for a far less stressful day tomorrow!

Movin’ On Up – Part II & My Oh My Mariners

Movin’ On Up – Part II

Yep, it’s official … I’m now #5 on the SPU Nursing Waiting list!  Just 5 people need to quit now and I am in…it seems like just yesterday I was Movin' On Up to spot #6!!

Last week when I got the email that my status had changed I was at the “Green Park” with the triplets sitting on the weird bouncy trampoline wannabee thingy.  And sure enough, today I once again was sitting there when I got the email!!  Guess I need to hang out there more often!

My Oh My Mariners

The 2009 Seattle Mariners are AWESOME!  They are now 7-2, and have won their last 6 games!!  We are in first place and actually look like a real team!!  Tonight there were a couple of really cool events that happened!

  1. Ken Griffey, Jr. hit his 400th homerun as a Seattle Mariner  - 400 homeruns, that’s just insane!  He is definitely boosting morale of the team and the fans!!  So far his arrival back in Seattle has been nothing but positive and uplifting!
  2. Ichiro hit a GRAND SLAM in his first game of the 2009 season – Ichiro has been on the disabled list all season until this point – so today was his 2009 debut and in typical Ichiro fashion he made it BIG!

The Mariners went on to beat the Angels 11-3!!  Can’t wait to see what they can do again tomorrow night!!

PLAY BALL & More Sewing

Today was the Mariners Season Opener and they WON!! We are now 1-0, wahoooo!! There is nothing more enjoyable then baseball season…and summer! It also was Ken Griffey, Jr’s. first game back as a Mariner and he hit a HOMERUN!! Welcome back Junior!! The Mariners Home Opener isn’t until next week, that will be cool to see how the fans react to Griffey. Apparently Safeco Field is already sold out. I can’t wait until I get to go to a game!!

I also did some more sewing today and made a bib with a matching burp rag. I’m really proud of these two!! I actually really like them!

IMG_0181 I used pink and brown polka dot fabric with the a terrycloth material on the back. I then used 3 different pink ribbons and sewed them onto the bottom. To finish it off, I even sewed Velcro onto the bib!! I really like it :)

Got Me A Blackberry

I feel so cool now that I got myslf a blackberry!! This phone is awesome, I am totally loving it! I now just need to master the full keyboard for texting while driving I ordered a couple of hardshells off of ebay to try and protect it from myself! I have managed to go 5 days with only dropping it one time - for me that's amazing!

This past weekend my mom and dad went out of town (or 2 towns over) to celebrate my dad's birthday (50 ). So Alex & I spent a few days with Jaime & Zak. We went shopping and then the Mariners game on Saturday night (they lost in the 14th ). Then yesterday Alex & I went to church and then just hung out watching the Olympics.

Speaking of the Olympics...Alex & I were watching the Synchronized Diving last night and decided - we could do that! Until we realized a couple of things... (1) neither of us is that coordinated (2) neither of us are very graceful divers but other then that we're ready for the Olympics!!

Red Sox Nation...Bah Humbug

Watching the Mariners game right now. The Mariners are hosting the Boston Red Sox...and it is sooooo sad for me to watch the game and hear MORE BOSTON fans cheering then Mariners!! What is up with that!! You look in the crowd and the majority is wearing red. That is just sad!! What's so great about the Red Sox anyway......

I have to say how amazed I am with the Seattle fans. Even though we suck (don't get me started about this one!), they stadium is almost always at least 3/4 of the way filled each night. We are awful and yet we continue to come out and support them.

Wonder where all those people are tonight ... COME ON PEOPLE!!

Mariners WIN!

Amy & I went to a fantastic baseball game last night!! The Mariners beat the Cleveland Indians 8-2!! The M's had a grand slam (Ibanez) and a 3-run-homerun (Lopez), plus the Indians walked in a run! GREAT GAME!! We had beautiful weather, lots of fun and great food!! Fun evening! Thanks Amy f& Walt for the ticket!! Oh and sorry for bending my ticket

Today my mom, Alex, Troya & I went to Oasis. I got a pedicure (pretty pink toes now) and a new set put on. So I feel 'human' again with my fingers all fixed and cleaned up!

Julia's life continues to have some bizarre but great turns!! Can't talk about it, but really cool stuff going on! Hopefully soon there will be news to share!!

Happy Saturday!

Gabbi Doesn't Float

Well the first of the triplets fell into the pool today. Gabbi wasn't listening to Kim & I when we were out by the pool today and kept venturing closer and closer. We finally decided that since I was already sitting by the pool to let her see how far she'd go - she walked right in. She had barely touched the water when I quickly grabbed her by the leg and pulled her up. We assumed she'd be shocked and freaked by going under, but nope she started giggling right away and headed straight back to the pool . Guess that plan backfired on us!

Julia & Alec got their new SUV yesterday and GMC Yukon XL. It's white and I am sooooo jealous! Jealous that I didn't get to go with them to buy it (they took the other kids ) and that I don't get it. So sad! I am going up in a couple of weeks and can't wait to see it ... and then of course drive it

Erin came to hang out for a few hours and we went down to the park. Thanks for helping me wrangle the babies (who are getting way to mobile these days!).

Get to go to the Mariners game with Amy tomorrow night - yay!! I think we play Cleveland but am not 100% sure. Oh and the final All-Star score was AL 4 and the NL 3! The game was 4hrs and 50mins long it ended at almost 2am EST - crazy - it did go into 15 innings I think!!

Friday tomorrow, hoping for another nice day!!

All-Star Game!

I LOVE baseball and it's fun to have the All-Star game on tv tonight!! Ichiro is the Seattle Mariners player on the team, he started in right field so that's cool! This is the 79th All-Star Game and it is being played at Yankee Stadium. This is the 4th time in almost 80 years that Yankee Stadium has hosted the games. This is also the final season that the Yankees will play in that stadium. A bit of interesting facts

Alex & I are going to Zak & Jaime's tonight to spend the night. Jaime has a doctors appointment at 8:45am (yikes ). So we will watch Madison for a few hours tomorrow while they go. She is 13 weeks tomorrow - yay She is due January 22nd, but most likely will deliver a week early - so early January for my newest baby 'niece'! Go jaime Go!
