Hi! My name is Cori and I am a college student getting a degree in communications and media so I can blog, facebook, and tweet for a living! That sounds so much better than because I have nothing better to do and/or just love talking about myself! (Both of which are true though!).
So follow me as me and my big mouth as I survive college, being a nanny to triplets, and [try] to maintain friendships with my friends and family! It's a big world out there, and My Big Mouth definitely gets me in trouble from time to time....
Yesterday we went to Chuck E Cheese for Camryn’s 3rd Birthday! Ryan & Madison had a great time! Maddie quickly learned the joy and fun of tokens and happily took her cup of tokens and went off to play. Ryan was a bit overwhelmed and wanted to do everything all at once! He ran from one ride, to a game, the climber and then around in circles!

Madison was addicted to this game. You tried to catch bees in a net and then dump them into a honey pot.
She wasn’t very good at it, hardly got any bees in the honey pot, but got LOTS of tickets by playing it non-stop for 30-minutes!

Another LONG post of photos!! What fun we had though! Last night Amy & Jaime came with me to Kristin’s to hang out. Madison & Ryan took a long bath and then went right to sleep! They were so tired!! The three of us then just vegged and watched television! We were exhausted and could hardly move!
Wow, it has been 8 years now since the attacks in New York City at the World Trade Centers, the Pentagon and then the plane that went down in Pennsylvania. I still remember that day, like it was yesterday...I remember where I was, what I was doing, this was the first (and only) major disaster that I have witnessed. The only thing that I can think of that comes close was the Columbine School Shooting.
I remember Kerstin B. walking into the Byer's home where Seminary was held and telling us about the first plane crash into the World Trade Center. I remember thinking, odd, but I don't think we really did anything at that point. After seminary they turned on the television and we got our first look at the destruction. I was a Sophomore and we spent the remainder of the day watching the news. I remember watching CNN live when the second plane hit. I remember the tears, the fears and all the uncertainty we all felt. Even as depressing, gruesome and sad as it was I couldn't pull myself away from the news. I watched it endlessly for days. It was all people talked about, it was all we thought about.
That night I went with Charity & the girls to her friends house, who's parents were visiting from another country, and I remember them saying they didn't think they would be going home the next day. I remember cleaning the girls' playroom and listening to Marcus D. on Kiss 106.1, and their moment of silence they had. It's all so vivid, burned into my mind. I didn't lose anyone in the attacks, I didn't even know anybody who did, and yet I felt personally connected to every single person, every American.
Do you remember the American Flags, the American Pride that we felt, the unity that our country underwent immediately? It was amazing...

Did you feel guilty cause you're a survivor In a crowded room did you feel alone ? Did you call up your mother and tell her you love her Did you dust off that bible at home?
Did you open your eyes and hope it never happened Close your eyes and not go to sleep? Did you notice the sunset the first time in ages. Speak with some stranger on the street. Did you lay down at night and think of tomorrow Go out and buy you a gun? Did you turn off that violent old movie you're watching And turn on "I Love Lucy" reruns. Did you go to a church and hold hands with some stranger. Stand in line and give your own blood. Did you just stay home and cling tight to your family Thank God you had somebody to love.

Today concludes my first full day of watching the O'Loughlin boys. Well I guess full day, if you don't think about the fact I wasn't with them all day :-) This morning went well, Bennett's ride to school arrived 10 minutes early so we weren't quite ready for that, but luckily he only had to grab socks and put his shoes on! I took Ryan to daycare, then off to work I went. It felt kind of silly taking Ryan, who's the same age as the triplets (Ryan is 3 days younger then the trio), to daycare and then heading to my own daycare! Oh well, it was easier to have just three 2yo's instead of four!
Jaime and the girls came and hung out with us today. We didn't do anything overly exciting, played outside for awhile and around the house. I refixed their pack 'n plays (they sleep in them because they were climbing out of their cribs - so now they are in PNP's with tents) because the little twirps were destroying them LOL!! Nothing a little duck tape and zip-ties can't fix! All three PNP's now have tents on them that once again look like tents! Kim & Mark are also in Vegas with the O'Loughin's so I got off a little early when her mom arrived!
I didn't get a break after work, it was right back to Serene's to pick up Ryan and bring him home to relieve Max from watching Ben, so he could go to the CHS Volleyball game. Off he went, and it's now just me and the little boys. We ate dinner and now are just chilling watching Yo Gabba Gabba again and counting down the minutes to bedtime....1-hour!
Tomorrow, I have Ryan all day, but we're going to Camryn's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese, so that should help break up the day! Then tomorrow night, Jaime, Brandi & the girls are coming over to Kristin's to hang out (don't worry I have premission :-D).
Friday already tomorrow, unreal, this week has flown by!!
That was the theme of Yo Gabba Gabba that I just watched with Ryan...I guess when you're two that's a good goal and theme! Made me giggle though, the thought of adults having that motto! Tonight I start my two day sitting job for the O'Loughlin's. Should be easy since they are all either in daycare of at school all day! I mostly have to feed them and make sure they make it to school...even I think I can handle that! So far I have only had Ryan, Bennett is at a friends house and Max is at the CHS football game. Might get a bit crazier in the next half-an-hour or so. The good news is bedtime isn't to long from now!
On Saturday, Erin & I had a joint birthday party at my house. We made homemade pasta and had yummy spaghetti! Plus we had pie and ice cream for dessert. I don’t know what is up with my family and a lack of birthday candles?? Pictures of the Birthday Girls

This morning for breakfast Julia took us all out to The Calico Cupboard Cafe in Mt. Vernon. I had never been there before so was excited to go. They had the BEST breakfast food I’ve ever had. I had homemade quiche and fresh fruit and the boys had this cinnamon roll french toast that literally tasted like cake!! Not only was the food good, but they had fast service! Here are a couple of pictures we took while we were eating!
