Lake Chelan – Day 1

We arrived in Lake Chelan at about 11pm on Thursday nights. When we got here the babies woke up and were awake while we tried to unpack. We finally put them down again at about midnight in a strange place in their tents. Needless to say they were not happy. We felt really bad for the neighbors who were listening to the screaming. But luckily the babies quieted down and then slept all night.

Yesterday (Friday) we got up and headed out to play on the beach. The water is way out right now so it was nice. So it was fun to watch the babies try to walk on the rocky and sandy beach! Gabbi insisted on bringing the ball along with her so that made it even harder for her to walk.

The we headed to the park and played on the swings!

They played hard and slept really well last night!! We’ve already done a lot today…but you’ll have to wait until tomorrow for those pictures :)

Movin’ On Up – Part II & My Oh My Mariners

Movin’ On Up – Part II

Yep, it’s official … I’m now #5 on the SPU Nursing Waiting list!  Just 5 people need to quit now and I am in…it seems like just yesterday I was Movin' On Up to spot #6!!

Last week when I got the email that my status had changed I was at the “Green Park” with the triplets sitting on the weird bouncy trampoline wannabee thingy.  And sure enough, today I once again was sitting there when I got the email!!  Guess I need to hang out there more often!

My Oh My Mariners

The 2009 Seattle Mariners are AWESOME!  They are now 7-2, and have won their last 6 games!!  We are in first place and actually look like a real team!!  Tonight there were a couple of really cool events that happened!

  1. Ken Griffey, Jr. hit his 400th homerun as a Seattle Mariner  - 400 homeruns, that’s just insane!  He is definitely boosting morale of the team and the fans!!  So far his arrival back in Seattle has been nothing but positive and uplifting!
  2. Ichiro hit a GRAND SLAM in his first game of the 2009 season – Ichiro has been on the disabled list all season until this point – so today was his 2009 debut and in typical Ichiro fashion he made it BIG!

The Mariners went on to beat the Angels 11-3!!  Can’t wait to see what they can do again tomorrow night!!

Are they helping or torturing Jack?

You can be the judge…

DSC_0033 DSC_0030 DSC_0031 DSC_0032

Not sure why Jack looks so drugged in these pictures, but probably has something to do with the fact that he was screaming at the other kids to leave him alone!

Today was Kim’s birthday so they went out to dinner along with Patty and Andy so I had Cody in addition to the Harrington kids.  Jaime and the girls were there early in the day and Emma had been sitting in this highchair so when they left the little kids immediately wanted to play in it.  We’ll just say it didn’t last very long before I removed it!

Kim & Mark invited me to go with them to Lake Chelan this weekend, I’m SOOOOO excited!  I could use a little getaway and am looking forward to it!  I can’t wait to go!!  The exciting thing is, it’s in only two days!   We’re leaving Thursday evening and coming back Monday afternoon!

really CLEAN MESS

Tonight I'm working at the Harrington's and was cleaning up the kitchen when I decided to refill the soap dispenser that's attached to the kitchen sink. I had refilled it many times, so thought nothing of it when I filled it again. So I started filling.

I filled and filled, and kept testing the soap dispenser and still no soap coming out so I dumped more. After dumping about 1/2 the bottle I decided to check what was wrong UNDER the sink. Opened up the cupboard and realized there was NO BOTTLE! I was just dumping dish washing soap into the cupboard and had TONS of soap! I immediately emptied the cupboard (it held all their chemicals, cleaning supplies, etc) and got to wiping and cleaning.

Luckily they had cupboard sheet things that were made of plastic so I pulled those out and just rinsed them. The sink was SOOOO full of suds it wasn't funny. I ended up having to move to the bathroom sink to rinse more because I the kitchen sink was so full. It took me almost 30minutes, but I finally got it all cleaned up. The kitchen sink is still completely filled with soap suds, but they keep popping and going down. Hopefully by the time I get here tomorrow they'll be gone!

The good news is under the sink is now REALLY clean and my hands have been thoroughly washed!!

The Hannah Montana Movie

This morning Sophie and I went to the first showing of Hannah Montana in the theater. I have to admit that I was looking forward to seeing the movie and actually enjoyed it. At one time I even found myself tearing up....yep I'm a dork!! It was hilarious and at times the entire theater was laughing hysterically!! I highly recommend it for any young girl (or old one :)) to go and see it! I could actually go and see it again and I hate going to the movies!

Alex made it home (or at least is driving home right now)! I cannot wait to see her. I enjoyed my time as an only child, but I missed my Allie!

Movin' On Up!

So do you have the Jefferson's theme song stuck in your head yet? Good....because ....
"Well I'M movin' on up, to the East Side.
To a deluxe apartment in the sky-iiiiie.
Movin' on up to the east side.
I'M finally got a piece of the pie-iiiiie."

I have officially moved from spot #7 to spot #6 on the SPU nursing waiting list!! Only 6 people need to drop and I am in!! YAY!!

Life as an Only Child!

For those of you who don’t know, I have been an only child for the past week!  Both Kelly & Alex are on separate vacations in Ireland of all places!!  Alex went with Cedarcrest for Spring Break and Kelly went to visit a friend she met on our cruise 3 years ago.  And with them being gone, it is the first time I have been an only child in 20 years!!  Needless to say I have been basking in the attention!!

I thought it would be fun to go back to the days when I was an only child…while they were short, just barely 3 years, they were the best three years of my life ;)

The Sad Day…my 3rd Birthday and the day the news came that Kelly would arrive in just 2 weeks           August 1988

Return to today….April 8, 2009…to ‘celebrate’ one last time before the girls start coming home my mom, dad, and I went to the Olive Garden for dinner – my FAVORITE restaurant!  I made sure I documented the event for all to remember!  I took ones with just my mom and just my dad but for some reason they didn’t take to well…darn camera phone!  But here is a group shot as we were leaving!

I have to leave with this email I got from Kelly today in response to a threat from my parents to email them to let them know she arrived…I know this is supposed to be an All About Me blog, but I couldn’t resist, this is totally my sister.

A preface of the email: Kelly’s plane was delayed 5 hours in Seattle leaving and so when she got to New Jersey she just barely made her connecting flight…needless to say she arrived in Ireland with no bag!  Still no sign of it, but hopefully soon!

Dear Life Providers-

I’m not coming back. I am home! It is so beautiful here wow wow wow!! I saw a castle today, it was amazing and on our way back there was a huge rainbow, literally the biggest rainbow I have ever seen and it looked like it stopped right in front of his house!! Steven and I get on better in person then online, which is beyond amazing. I am having so much fun. His family is so incredible and all of his friends are awesome. Tina is a doll!! She is so nice and believe it or not I am really excited for camping and surfing!!! We're headed to a pub now to watch liverpool vs. chelsea with a bunch of his friends. Tell everyone I say hello and goodbye because I'm going to miss my flight back! My bag still has not come, but we went shopping earlier so I'm set for a couple of days - hopefully it comes soon, I slept in Steve's shorts last night. Everything is wonderful, Alex can have my room.

Love You All!!!

Cheers!!!!!!!!!

PLAY BALL & More Sewing

Today was the Mariners Season Opener and they WON!! We are now 1-0, wahoooo!! There is nothing more enjoyable then baseball season…and summer! It also was Ken Griffey, Jr’s. first game back as a Mariner and he hit a HOMERUN!! Welcome back Junior!! The Mariners Home Opener isn’t until next week, that will be cool to see how the fans react to Griffey. Apparently Safeco Field is already sold out. I can’t wait until I get to go to a game!!

I also did some more sewing today and made a bib with a matching burp rag. I’m really proud of these two!! I actually really like them!

IMG_0181 I used pink and brown polka dot fabric with the a terrycloth material on the back. I then used 3 different pink ribbons and sewed them onto the bottom. To finish it off, I even sewed Velcro onto the bib!! I really like it :)

Elkins Triplets Birthday Party

girls4
Angelique, Melissa & Kennedy

Today, Brandi, Erin, Jaime, the girls & I went to Kennedy, Melissa & Angelique’s family birthday party. We had a lot of fun and took a ton of pictures! Charity has a new camera and we were having fun playing around with it!! The Elkins' had also never met Emmalee so they had fun holding and snuggling her too!

While uploading the birthday pictures, I came across these two from a long time ago when the girls were 2 years old! I had to share these two photos as they are two of my favorites!! We took these down in Disneyland at a little photo place at the mall!

Okay now the pictures from today….for some reason there are very few of Kennedy :( Not sure where she was during the picture taking…oh well!

And then tonight we had to take Erin back to her car (long story) and decided it would be fun for all of us to go (4 adults and 2 car seats) in my little car!! It was a tight squeeze but we all made it…sorta!! Jaime and the girls sat in the backseat and I sat on the floor between them, Erin and Brandi manned the front seats! It was cozy and squishy but a lot of fun!! And to make it that much more fun, Madison insisted we sing Veggie Tales along with her! So we were singing at the top of our lungs!

Monday tomorrow…the start of another week!
